If you are anything like me, as much as you LOVE social media, you are still trying to find ways to streamline, automate and not get distracted by it. One of the things that really slows me down is the management of my Facebook Fan Page. It really annoys me that I have to manually check every morning and night on my Fan Page to see if any of my loyal and lovely fans have left me a comment. The last thing I ever want is a supporter to think that they are being ignored! Wouldn’t it be nice if you got an email sent to you anytime a fan left a comment on your Fan Page?
NEWSFLASH!
You can get an email anytime someone leaves a comment on your Fan Page and here is the trick: anytime you update the wall of your Fan Page, click on the “Like” option under your published post. Like magic, from here on out, anytime someone leaves you a comment, you will be notified by email! How great is that.
Like I said, Short & Sweet Facebook Fan Page News Flash! What another great way to further cut down on the time you are spending on social networking. Do you have a short cut? Share it here!

That has been my greatest annoyance with my Fan Page. You are so brilliant! Thank you for sharing.
This is a great tip Rebecca. I discovered it by accident one day.
However, I don’t do that very often because it kinda looks like I’m liking myself, don’t you think?
On the other hand as you say, it saves so much time!
I just joined this blog and I’m enjoying very much, I admire mompreneurs like you and I appreciate this amazing provision.
No problem Laura! I love sharing shortcuts that I discover! This has been a nice one to share!
I totally understand Christina! I thought about that myself, but then I thought: 1.) If I share the tip, people will begin to understand why I’m doing it, 2.) Hopefully enough people will like my comment after me that I’ll be buried in “likes”
and finally 3.) I would rather people think I REALLY liked myself, then miss something one of my fans said.
Thank you so much for your comment!
Thanks! I hate coming back, sometimes a day or two later, and finding I missed someone’s great comment.
Love the tip, Rebecca, even if I don’t yet have a Facebook fan page. I also love the “deeper” discussion regarding if it’s OK to “like” ourselves and what we write.
Women are so fearful of being perceived as (big headed, smug, conceited, fill in the blank that fits for you). I say, “like” yourself with reckless abandon!
I totally agree Erin! And often times, people may not know the person behind the business, so they may not even know the business owner is “liking” the wall post. I would love to see you get a fan page up Erin! You have so many great things to share with other women…You could easily fill up a fan page with your inspiration!
I know Gail, me too! Thank goodness for shortcuts!
Nice and timely! I had just asked this question a few days ago to a forum I am in. I was told that there wasn’t any option that I could choose to make this happen.
You just offered a great work-around that I will definitely use. (I also asked myself if I should ‘like’ all my posts, but as your comments suggest, I will ‘like myself’ with pride and save time doing it.
Great Kim! I’m glad that I could help:) Yep! Take pride in your ‘liking’ yourself and your business!
Thanks for the tip! I am currently working on a Fan Page and this is most helpful!
Thanks for the tip. I haven’t had a chance to look through your blog for older posts, but I’m wondering if you also have tips on how to 1) increase the number of fans to your page and 2) increase the interaction between you and your fans.
I haven’t done a post on either one of those subjects yet, but think they are great ideas to do! Thanks for the ideas and I’ll get started on them by mid-March! Thanks for stopping by Kathleen!
Great tip Rebecca! Is there a way to know if somebody writes on your Fan Page wall?
